Hey, I’m Vivian. I’m a daughter of God, a wife, a creative — and ironically, someone who once got disqualified from a first-grade spelling bee for misspelling the word camera (Foreshadowing much?).
Fast-forward to age 14: my dad handed me his old camera. That was the beginning of my full-blown obsession. I made my friends pose for “photoshoots” that were basically me bossing them around in my backyard, but when they changed their profile pictures to my grainy masterpieces? Oh, I was on cloud 9.
Pretty soon, my mom was bragging to strangers, “My daughter is a photographer,” which got me… a few gigs. One paid me in an Chick-Fil-A gift card. Another — a mother/daughter shoot — gave me this rush I’ll always remember. For the first time I thought: Maybe this is what I’m supposed to do with my life.
In 2018, I officially launched my photography business. I didn’t know much beyond pressing the shutter button and googling “how to edit in Lightroom,” but I kept learning. Then in 2020, when the world reopened, I got loud on Instagram — and suddenly people started booking me.
In 2022, everything changed. I shot my first wedding. I remember sitting at my computer, scrolling through the images, and just bawling. Not like a cute single-tear movie cry — like ugly sobbing, because for the first time I felt more me than I ever had before. Capturing someone’s love story on the most sacred day of their lives wasn’t just photography. It was trust. It was storytelling. It was purpose.
Now, photography is my favorite art form because it freezes life like a movie still — raw, honest, soft, and unforgettable. I tell stories of weddings, couples, families, graduates, & more… because at the end of the day, photographs outlive us. They become the evidence of joy, love, and connection that future generations will hold in their hands.
