Faith & Film: Summer Blockbusters

Another great opportunity to experience one of the event venues at First Presbyterian Church in action is coming your way!
Join us in The Center at First Pres on a few Wednesday evenings this summer for Faith & Film: Summer Blockbusters. This is a community film series that explores themes of faith, humanity, and meaning through classic films and guided discussion.
Inspired by Bryan P. Stone’s Faith and Film, the series examines elements of the Apostles’ Creed through the lens of cinema. No book is required, and all are welcome.
• June 24, 6:00 PM – Contact (1997, PG-13)
• July 29, 6:00 PM – Oh, God! (1977, PG)
• August 26, 6:00 PM – 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968, PG)
Each evening includes the featured film, discussion, popcorn, soft drinks, and grilled hot dogs or burgers in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Whether you’re interested in the films, the conversation, or simply seeing the space firsthand, we’d love to have you join us.
Aixa & Lacey, who coordinate venue rentals for First Presbyterian Church, will be onsite throughout the series and will be happy to answer any questions about hosting weddings, receptions, celebrations, meetings, and special events.
